It's a rare event when Kasumi chooses to exude impatience at anything, but the weather is dismal and it's her turn to succumb to the delightful moodswing that affects most women once a month. (It is such things that occasion people to label women as the 'weaker sex' and she can't stand it --right now.)

Her mission? To infiltrate the music rooms of the high school for no profit but her own.

She's dry under the black umbrella and she easily dodges the crowds rushing for their buses, cars or whatever will get them out of the downpour quickest and into some form of safety. Herself? She doesn't dislike the rain one bit. She dislikes the way the clouds hang in an ominious circle waiting to pass judgement and send them to whatever depths of sin they've all reached.

The doors of Oshima High School are protected from the rain by a balcony that's never used and seems out of place. Kasumi folds her umbrella and leaves it in her hand, away from the many papers that are folded with precision into her bag.

She steps through the doors with purpose, ignoring the younger generation who have lessons yet to learn.

// ... Really, you know what I'm going to say. TAGGING THE ENTIRE OSHIMA POPULATION IF YOU WANT. \\

Moegi's first week of school was hectic, and she was frustrated beyond measure. The people at this school were so smart- and she was so dumb... There were so many pretty girls, like Ami and Hanabi, they were both in her grade. They were both sooooo pretty. She sighed, she would really have to work hard to make a name for herself.

But then again, Konahamaru was at this school. That was an unexpected bonus of coming here. She was glad to see a familiar face, and was allmost expecting Udon to show up magically. Then again- she was allways a dreamer.

She made her way out of the band room. She loved playing Clarinet- but then again she was put into third chair today. It made sense seeing she was only a freshman, but it was still sad.

As she made her way to the entrance, she bumped into someone way taller then her. She looked up, and stopped dead. she didn't bump into just anyway, she bumped into the most beautiful person in the entire world! Moegi was a girl who looked at pictures of beautiful people in magazines all the time- she knew what she was talking about.

There was something artistic about her. The way her nose sloped, the way her eyes narrowed as the looked down at Moegi. Oh God, she was looking at her! Ah-whatshoulshsedo,whattodo. A hot pink blush came over her face as she continued to stare at the college freshman. Her hair was blue, blue! And she was wearing pigtails too! Allthough her hair was way more beautiful. It wasn't boring and black, stick strait and dull. It was blue like the ocean, and ever so slightly wavy as well. So- pretty.

"I'm so sorry!" she squeaked. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't just going, but I was looking down, but I was- was," she felt tears coming to her eyes. She wasn't good with confrentation.

*I just had the most horrible cool idea of Moegi getting sucked into drugs y/n? (poor thing ;_; )*

oh always yes. <3 lemirage_bleu September 9 2007, 21:15:24 UTC
Her brow raised, smoothly, and her arms crossed, her expression far from pleased at the little girl who bumped into her. She pondered for a second before her face softened minutely, still not smiling however.

"Indeed," she replied softly, tapping a long, ever-calloused finger against the jacket of her uniform, eyes watching and analysing the girl. Hmm, she seemed too soft, too easy to get information out of. Kasumi's lips curled quietly, quickly into a smirk that flickered away as soon as she bent down slightly to look the young girl in the eyes.

"Say, little girl, do you know the way to the music room?" It was better than wandering around like a headless chicken and arousing suspicion. Not that she couldn't avoid people when she wanted to, and well. Her finger dipped into the girl's pigtail, twisting the silky hair around it lightly and her mouth is some inscrutable smirk.

oh,by the way... did you get my last reply to the zetsu/kasumi log? I'm worried my email lost it ;_; pigtail_poser September 9 2007, 23:01:02 UTC
If at all possible, her blush intensified. Still partially frozen by the absolute beauty of the woman (woman was infinately more fitting- you could not keep this woman and little Moegi in the same class) and mortified beyond all measure for being so terribly clumsy. She didn't seem mad at Moegi- but was she mad? Was she one of those people that never showed their feelings, oh what if this girl hated Moegi, thought she was stupid, ugly, and filth for getting in her way? Such thoughts buzzed with startling speed through her mind, she allmost missed the lady's question.

"I- I do!" she said quickly, eyes growing wider. Was she going to be able to help this person? Maybe she could be redeemed! Maybe she wouldn't hate her forever- she was so excited. "I just came from there actually, I'm in band, do you play an instrument?" her inqueries were coming fast- in that manner that questions come when someone is flooded with relief. She blushed again, regaining a sense of manners. "S-sorry, I shouldn't be so nosy..." she trailed off. The lady was smirking, was that a good thing?

Moegi couldn't tell... she never was very good at reading people- thus she allways assumed she was at fault, she was the villian behind their steaming inner anger. She would not let that happen here. This woman would walk away from their meeting thinking what a sweet girl she had met. yeah, yeah! "M-my name is Moegi," ahhhh! she stuttered! She could not banish the knot of nervousness within her.

I did. I was in a hurry last night and couldn't finish the tag. lemirage_bleu September 10 2007, 10:46:07 UTC
What in the world...? Kasumi was more than a little disturbed by the girl, but everything hid itself well. She couldn't recall ever meeting anyone quite so nervous in her life.

Oh well, perhaps this would be easy prey for her claws to feast on.

"Could you perhaps tell me the quickest way there?" She asked, noticing everything. Well... the Freshman (for she had to be one) wasn't exactly hiding much. "Yes." You shouldn't. But she did play an instrument.

Moegi, hm? Kasumi straightened, looking back down at the small meal and nodded. "You're a Freshman, aren't you?" She asked. Perhaps she would challenge the girl to find out her identity later, after all- Kasumi wasn't one to be easily mixed up with another.

Moegi never meant to be disturbing. The poor girl all ways meant well, but her nervous attitude, and low self-esteem would put the poor girl in horrible situations. Temporarily empowered by her desire to be liked, she did not imagine the possibility that there was anything malicious about Kasumi (she was easily fooled by a pretty face).

She blushed again, she should have started walking there! Ohhhh she was so stupid "Yeah, I'm sorry!" she replied, giggling. She turned around, pigtails flying around in a graceful arc. She wondered for a moment if her yes was to her playing an instrument- or the more fearful idea that she shouldn't be so nosy. She skirted past the idea.

"Y-yeah! I'm a Freshma. Heheh, new here. I'm really excited to be here- all though school has been really stressful and-" she paused, blushing again. This lady probably didn't want to know this much. "sorry, I'll be quiet," she said again, begining to lead Kasumi to the band room.

I want to scoop Moegi up and steal her. She's so cute! lemirage_bleu September 11 2007, 12:40:19 UTC
Well, the fact that she believed the college freshman to be the innocent type would definitely be advantageous... if she ever needed it.

Her eyes caught the arc of Moegi's pigtails- grace came naturally to physics after all- and as they walked the college freshman paid vague attention to the nervous ramblings of the young girl. Well, the new was an obvious one.

"Indeed." Muttered mostly to herself as they bypassed corridors and such, Kasumi's pigtails lying on her shoulders and rarely moving with easy steps and almost perfect posture (apart from that tilt to the left that most never saw).

"And which instrument do you play?" This girl could do most of the work for her- she could probably ask for her ATM number and be given it. But she wouldn't. That wasn't her interest.

She is absolutely precious, no? <3~ pigtail_poser September 12 2007, 06:57:48 UTC
One might say Moegi is foolish for trusting in the good of humanity, but she happens to be one of those rare souls that trust in the good of all people no matter how many times she is hurt and betrayed. Because of this, she will serve subject to the pranks of more nefarious beings- such as Kasumi posibly. Yet Moegi would not imagine such a thing.

Nature did give way to beauty, but Moegi would never notice such a thing about herself. She was far too busy admiring the beauty of the person in front of her. She was so focused, that she started when she was asked a question in return! This person wanted to know about her. As sad as she found it to only refer to one so beautiful as a person- but she would have to make due. It would be ruder still to continue asking her quesitons.

"C-clariet" she piped back, thinking of the long black instrument. She loved band, her mother suggested it (for it had been her life back in the day). Allthough it was hard, and adimtabely she wasn't very talented (there were few things she was talented at).

The good of humanity- did such a thing exist, or were they all merely selfish beings posing as charitable? Kasumi saw the need for that pretence because so many people were just like this little freshman. (Her mind wandered-)

A pause of shock on the girl's part. The Parisian found nothing surprising in it. If one could say there were textbook instances of certain things, Moegi would definitely be among them. She inclined her head to Moegi's answer (- would he have found anger to this little girl like he flashed to her only once?) and pondered the small stutter. Nervousness and something else... sadness? (A foolish emotion).

"You've something else?" She asked as the band room came to close sight, turning to Moegi. "Another hobby you persue that's better than your clarinet?" She clarified, voice quiet and peaked with the inflections of a polite question- the tinge of French touching her Japanese as ever.

No trouble~ (goodness knows I can take forever XD) pigtail_poser September 14 2007, 07:16:44 UTC
Ideas of philosophy were slightly beyond Moegi. She was too wraped up in the material world, full of beautiful faces, makeup, and pretty clothing (her parents had brought her to church services, but she never paid attention, few small children did). But perhaps a good of humanity did exist, if only to be believed- not used.

Moegi had allways been boring, and she would not have had a hard time believing that Kasumi found her predictable (because she was, boring as vanilla and white bread all together- in her mind anyway). She eyed the older girl with an adoring look, having no way of knowing anything about the boy distracting her thoughts.

"Ahh-" hobbies? What did she do for fun. She would help Konahamaru with his pranks, that was fun! But, not easily explained... "I- like to read magazines," she said shyly. It sounded very silly when she said it aloud. "And I like to go shopping, and hang out with my friends," she talked of being better? Moegi thought miserablly she wasn't good at anything. But perhaps she meant what was easy? Well these hobbies came efofrtlessly. It would be a passable answer.

The few that did pay attention to the philosophy had to. There was too much information in the world for some to ignore- and the people who did that were delighted by those that didn't for their naivety. Their simplicity in turning.

Arms folded, Kasumi listened to the girl. How ordinary. How simply ordinary.

"I see." Her head turned to look at the classrooms. "Would we be near the room by now?" Kasumi waited for the girl to worry about boring her and react, eager to please. (At least, it's what she believed would happen.)

I had the suden realization that this is the weirdest group of people XD! pigtail_poser September 15 2007, 05:41:08 UTC
Moegi would deffinitly be in the second catagory (it was not that she was a mean, or bad girl- simply a tad shallow and narrow minded). Perhaps it was because Kasumi would be in the first group, it gave her a little mystique that Moegi found facinating.

Ordinary- it was the word that could describe her so completely. She had allways despised being so, but had only fostered hobbies and passions that promoted this image.

And Kasumi was exaclty right. A siren went of in the younger girl's brain, and allthough there was no impatience in Kasumi's voice, Moegi imagined plenty. "Yes- yes!" she replied, blushing furiously. "Just up ahead..."

Ah, the music room. Kasumi's lips curled into a brief smile at the sight of the door and her hand slipped into the bag full of folded and organised papers, looking for something else.

"Though I don't hesitate to imagine you've plenty of work already," she began, fingers scissoring at a book full of musical notes, tugging it out with little diffculty, "I have a small mission for you." She glanced through a couple of the pages before shutting the small book again.

"Find out my name. Quickly." Of course she knew her own name, but if the little freshman could do it quickly enough, there might be some hope for such an ordinary girl. After all, one could never have too many sources of information.

There was the music room! She was so glad to see it. While this person was absolutely beautiful, and she considered herself lucky to attract the attention of one so, so cool- she was not sure if she could handle the pressure much longer.

"A-a mission?" why would someone like her trust someone like Moegi with anything? This was something completely unexpected, and suddenly found her heart beating very fast. Her hands were starting to sweat- panic was setting in. Moegi hated being relied upon, what if she failed?

Her name? She grabbed the book quickly (she took note of the word, and was nearly tripping over herself to do so). She opened the book and fumbled with the pages. Sheet of music after sheet. Looking for a name. She saw a word and said it aloud, "Konan?" no! she was reading it wrong! She felt a blush come over her face, she knew somehow that was wrong. Flipping the page, she saw a name scribled on the top, "K-Kasumi?"

Kasumi's brow raised for a moment as the book was taken from her and her name misread. But the girl did figure it out. Quickly.

"Indeed." Her hand rested on the door of the music room as she took the book back- nails painted dark purple and manicured finely- looking the girl over one last time.

"I see." She murmured as her eyes flicked over the Japanese characters of her name- a quick mistake while writing in a rush. Her mind was already contemplating the uses for this girl.

"Thank you." Manners, manners. If only for show. The door opened a creak with wheels turning.

Her legs wobbeled, and she felt slightly dizzy for the rush of blood. She hoped she did good. The- Kasumi raised her eyebrow, and she felt the desire to sink into the earth and die become even stronger.

She hated being examined. She rarely was- being such a mundane girl. But when she was, she felt a squirming feeling in her gut, and wanted to just vanish.

She let out a breath of releif. She was right. She was so glad. She felt lighter, as if a weight had been lifted from her- except smaller weights still remained in the presence of Kasumi herself.

"You're welcome!" she replied brightly, watching her enter the room. For some reason, she felt obligated to stay untill she was inside the room (although her objective was clearly fulfiled, she had found the bandroom-
