Shino wordlessly handed in his paper on "Mealworm Fried Rice," which he'd cooked for his entire family, tarantula included (she ate the mealworms though - not the fried rice). He included a one page description of the meal worm (the larvae of tenebrio molitor), as well as other recipes it could be used for.

Mealworm Fried Rice
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1 tsp. oil
* 3/4 c. water
* 1/4 c. chopped onions
* 4 tsp. soy sauce
* 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
* 1 c. minute rice
* 1 c. cooked mealworms

I sauteed the mealworms in a skillet with garlic until they became soft, and mixed them in with rice, eggs, onions, and soy sauce in a properly greased wok. I also added parsley leaves for flavor.

As my family is used to eating insects, they expressed no surprise and enjoyed this meal much like any other.

Having managed to complete several other of his midterms, Shikamaru decided since he was on a roll, he might as well take a stab at this one. A little searching provided him with a relatively easy solution:
Traditional Potato Salad
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 2 tablespoons vinegar
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 1/2 teaspoon pepper
* 5 to 5 med. potatoes, peeled, cubed, cooked
PREPARATION:
Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Add remaining ingredients; toss gently to combine well.
Cover; chill for 2 or more hours for best flavor.

I know it's not really a meal, but I don't exactly have anyone to cook for. But I fed some to a friend, who didn't die or anything. It also constituted my dinner for a few days following, so I guess you could consider it a meal in that sense.

((OOC: Easiest thing I could think of. XP))

((Ahhh but even I couldn't BS that into something acceptable for the assignment, and I'd put all my effort into it!))
