Iruka clapped his hands sharply as the bell rang, getting the class to quiet down. "All right, everyone, let's get ready for class! Enough with the talk!" But he was smiling even with the mild reprimand.
"You all remember the ceramics project from a few weeks ago - well, they're all out of the kiln and ready to be glazed and painted now. Unfortunately, one of them exploded - " He gave Deidara a look, because he knew Deidara had done that on purpose (probably why the boy had made more than one last time) " - and I'm sorry, but as a result your pieces may have little chips of the unfortunate sculpture embedded in them.
"Glaze, underglaze, and paint is up here. Cover your tables with newspaper before starting, and be careful. And let's be mature here - don't try to ruin anyone else's work. We're in high school here. Mizuki-sensei and I will be walking around to make sure you're actually working."
