So I was in the shower mentally bitching about my brother and the Conservative party, when I had a little idea. Wouldn't it be nice to know exactly why people in Victoria would support the Conservatives over the Liberals, New Democrats, and Greens? This is less about changing minds and more about collecting information. I mean, I'd be willing to go door to door to houses that have Conservative lawn signs, be very friendly, ask them why they're not voting Liberal, NDP, or Green, write down their answer, and then wish them a good day. I don't believe this has been reported here, my apologies if it has. The Sierra Club of Canada released their analysis of the various party platforms regarding the environment on June 15th, and you can read their analysis
here. To sum up, all parties but the Conservatives support Kyoto, the NDP earned an A+ grade, the Bloc and Green parties earned an A grade, the Liberal party earned a B grade, and the Conservatives earned a F.

Any major national political party will ensure the Canadian environment is protected -- except Stephen Harper and the Conservatives," said John Bennett, Policy Advisor to the Sierra Club of Canada on Atmosphere and Energy.
