Here's the job description of a part-time job I'm applying for. I think I have a good shot at an interview, given my work experience last summer. It would be a dream job..

2) Centre for Urban Health Initiatives*
*UNDERGRADUATE ‘RESEARCH ASSISTANT’ POSITION*

The University of Toronto, St. George Campus invites applications for a part-time undergraduate research assistant. The successful candidate will work on a research project facilitated by the Centre for Urban Health Initiatives (CUHI) and Foodshare Toronto that seeks to identify areas where research is needed for the development of informed food policy at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.

Duties: Working with a diverse team of researchers, the research assistant will review literature and help organize and analyse interviews with people who play key roles in policy areas related to food. The research assistant will also help coordinate food-related community forums, colloquia, and workshops. Opportunities for learning will be offered in relation to in-depth interview skills, developing community-based research partnerships, and other research skills.

Qualifications: We are seeking an individual with experience in the ‘food movement’, in either a professional or volunteer capacity. The ideal applicant will be a mature individual with excellent Communication and organizational skills. Experience in policy development, policy analysis, and/or qualitative research methods would be an asset but is not required. Applicants MUST be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a post-secondary institution in Toronto (preferably the University of Toronto). Proof of status will be required at the interview stage. We especially welcome applications from visible minority group members, women, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, sexual minorities, and others who contribute to the further diversification of ideas.

The deadline for submission of applications is 4:30 p.m., October 25, 2004.

Also, I have an appointment on Friday with a campus doctor about the ever changing pain/discomfort I've been having for a while in my hands/wrists/forearms.

And my Dad is visiting me this week from Calgary, my 21st birthday is on Saturday and he'll be here for Thursday and Friday. It'll be really good to see him.
