28 hours toward my 40 for Private Pilot license. Written exam passed, cross-country flights started. By the way... at night? It's frelling dark! Just sayin. So, ahead in the plan: a whole lotta flyin to satisfy various minimum hour and experience requirements, then a checkride. Then a license. Then I'll be able to carry passengers legally. Then a few more hours experience (my own personal requirement). Then I'll be able to carry passengers with a clear concience.

And then one of the Special People With Whom I Most Want To Share The Beautimous Joy Of Flying still won't go, for personal reasons of her own. (You Know Who You Are!) S'ok, I'll live. Just had to express that. ;P

In other news, progress is progressing apace toward becoming a Landed Gentleman. Gotta hook up with a real estate lawyer of my own to read over the contract and assure me that none of the perfectly reasonable sounding english language clauses actually translate to the legalese equivalent of "Fuck you, buddy!" and that nothing desireable has been omitted. Also not thrilled with some of the language on the mortgage agreement, so I'll have to convince those folx to spell things out a lot more explicitly, and/or rewrite the policy if necessary. And then? I'll be back in debt for a while... but in a Good Way. And my bitching about property taxen will go from the 'theoretical' to the 'personally applicable.' And I'll consider it worthwhile to start taking my House Plan Ideas and putting them on paper.
