So, I'm having an awesome vacation so far! I'm in Portland right now, visiting my friends Steph and Andrew. Got in on Saturday evening. Got to fly first class, which is always awesome (thanks Dad's miles!). Then we spent the evening doing a puzzle, and had a few beers. Yesterday, we got up, had omelets for breakfast, and then went to the Saturday Market (which apparently is on both Saturday and Sunday). It was this huuuuuuuge open-air marketplace with all kinds of booths. There was food, and there were artists of all kinds, including this guy who made really awesome stuff out of spoons, and there was flea market-type stuff. Then we went and walked around this strip that seemed like a sort of really chill version of the Loop, without all the hipsters. It was awesome. We ate at this lovely vegetarian cafe. Then we went to a park, and had a wee hike, and then we came back to Steph and Andrew's apartment, and finished the puzzle, and then went and saw Labyrinth at a pretty awesome movie theatre!

Today we had homemade biscuit sammiches for breakyfast, and we're apparently going to a huge-ass bookstore!
