I miss cities.
London. Seattle. Amsterdam. New York. Even Paris, for gods sake. There is something about packing a bunch of people in a small space that creates something harmonious and chaotic at the same time, something always entertaining-- a large-scale house party, if you will, going 365 days a year. I miss graffiti, and buskers, and interesting stores catering to the weirdos that can only be found in cities. (utilikilts flagship, anyone?)
*sigh*
WSU cut the entire peforming arts (theater and dance) program. Basically what that means is that there are no more performances. The major is gone; the classes are cut down to the bare essetentials so those few students who are not yet graduated can finish their degrees. The RSOs (registered student organizations; clubs like Nuthouse improv comedy and elite dance) can't function without a professor/adviser, and without a department there are no advisers left. Sooooo now I live in a one-horse shithole armpit of Washington town whose only entertainment offerings are a shitty football team, a shittier basketball team, and frat parties. Only three more years...
