I could pack for the beach or I could update my LJ

Of course in this world that is chockfull of technology, it makes logical sense to waste time and post so all my friends can read this hot shit blog of mine.

Santiago de Chile has got me by the heart.  Now that my academic semester has come to an end, I get to enjoy this city all I want.  And it is pretty fucking fun w/out essays causing me verguenza if I'm not working on them.  Today I went to the park and fed the ducks some stale cereal, nasty Chilean Cheetos that don't taste like US Cheetos, and some stale cookies.  They were happy ducks.  They are all paired up now and probably ready to make some baby ducks.  The pond they live in is man-made I think.  It's pretty gross but people swim in it anyways.  Nobody could get me to swim in that.  It's kind of endearing though.  Bunch of little kids screaming and going crazy in the park, swimming in this scummy pond without a care in the world.  Yeaaa.

Also went to Santiagos Museum of Natural History.  They have a lot of awesome stuff on display.  Including a huge whale skeleton and lots of preserved animals.  I never knew albatross birds were so big.  Stuff like this really fascinates me.  I can't understand how everyone else is not absolutely in love with nature.  It's amazing.  They have a lot of rocks and minerals on display.  Their colors are brilliant, seemingly unnatural.  Their formation is stunning as well.  I feel like something about modern society has made people look upon nature as if it is something sort of outside of our personal lives.  Just another factor.  Not something completely integral.  And thus, our appreciation for it all dwindles.  Me...I find every little thing fascinating.  Ants.  Leaves.  Minerals.  Weather.  It's incredible.

Did some other junk today.  Bought this awesome tye-dye sweater.  I heart it.  Tomorrow and Saturday I am going to the beach to play ultimate and have ridiculous amounts of fun.  Today, it's kind of cold in Santiago.  Hopefully, it's alright on the coast.  It will probably be find.  Yay for the oceans regulating relatively nice coastal temperatures.

Chau, kiddies.  I will see a lot of you a little bit sooner than I would like.   But ONLY because I'd rather just stay here longer.
