that picture is the one im using for my self-protrait in mrs. wu's class. should be interesting since my painting looks NOTHING like me. ah oh well thankgoodness for 'abstract art'...haha joe and katie and i figured that i should draw a middle aged black man and be like 'hey, this is me, on the inside'. haha oh goodness.
today was fun. in debate we finished watching 'runaway jury'. yes, the movie ive seen like 4 times now....and sadly enough, i admit, i did forget the ending. after that, we started watching some boring history channel movie on the death penalty...and i admit, that wasnt too fun... but the rest of the day was awesome. gym was GREAT. deena fulton is offically pregnant with some freshman in bbyo's baby....and talia has the funniest laugh ive ever heard. and poor talia was peer pressured into skipping gym. haha. she was so scared. then afterwards, she went and bragged about it to all her friends at lunch. she is so funny, that girl. spanish was really uneventful as always...but it went really fast so thats good. lunch was fun cause i got to see matt <3 and talk to cool people. civics was..eh...ok. the bus ride was fun though, cause me and john devine discussed politics and it was hilarious. oh yeah...and we listened to ring tones of his phone...ones like 'brown eyed girl' and 'pick up yo phone, ur mommas callin'. lol.
theres been a lot of drama going down lately, but im trying my best to stay out of it. sometimes i call samantha, and tell her about all the drama going on, and shes like 'damn im so glad people arent like that at my school'. makes me wonder, if myers park people are just insanely immature and superficial, or if every highschool's the same like ive been told. i dunno....i wanna change schools so bad some times...we'll have to see.
one of my friends im kinda worried about at the moment. she got into some big trouble :-( everyones mad at her...i dont really see why. people make mistakes. shes just a kid. i mean, she IS suffering the consequences....i think thats enough for the poor girl.
we're going to a baptist church tonight for confirmation. kinda dont wanna go. im excited for the hindu temples and buddhist temples, but christianity i know WAY too much about. that sounds really ignorant, but its so true. our society is influenced by it so darn much. now they want to start teaching the creation story in schools!!!!!!! (we were talking bout this is spanish today, so im all fired up.) ok a) darwinism ATLEAST has some proof behind it, while the theory of creation has none b) if they're trying to give kids more options in order to form their own opinions, then they would have to teach EVERY creation theory known to man...they couldnt just teach the christian view point. since they obviously cannot do that, i dont understand why they just cant keep school secular (like it says in the constitution) and teach the creation story at sunday school, where it belongs.
oh yeah, and if you think religion is so important that you need to be exposed to it everyday, thats what private school is for.
