Chapter 5.7: Dating Life Goes South (And North)

Right after her birthday, I decide to give Inglewood a little makeover. I think it is a very fitting, refined look for an elderly rich Sim. The outfit was a formal attire from Glamour Life that I converted to an everyday outfit through Body Shop.

Sim Birthday Cake apparently has amazing preserving power. It is the next morning and they're all enjoying the cake that's been sitting out the entire night. I rarely ever use birthday cake, so I had no idea. Just another quirk of the Sim world.

And those pesky siblings just can't keep their hands to themselves, as usual. *sigh* How many days does Jurupa have until adulthood?

Oh, and Jurupa gets the upper hand this time! Kingsburg seems proud of his big sister.

And speaking of poor Kingsburg, my tendency to neglect the middle child has come forth once again. I haven't gotten his fitness up to maximum level. Well, it's a good thing that he didn't get fat. That's gotta count for something.

"Yeahhh, look at mah muscles!"

As it is the weekend, Kerman decided to go back downtown to look for some potential dates. Let's start with the old standby - Sim Center South.

Your hunger bar's looking a little low, so why not cook up some hot dogs? People always flock over to stranger-cooked dogs! In fact, I think I see someone behind you...

Marion Zarubin. She was a boolprop created Townie I made at a spare's house. I just wanted to give the neighborhood a little diversity, since I was sick of seeing Alvin, Tosha and so on all the time.

I managed to lure Marion over to the hot dog table and they hit it off on a friendly level.

But unfortunately, no chemistry.

I also managed to lure Johnson Go into the conversational grip of Kerman. They also hit it off in a friendly way, and there's one bolt of chemistry.

But when Kerman asks him if he likes what he sees...

...he doesn't.

Okay, I think Kerman got all the "action" she could get in that area. Let's try the rarely-visited Sim Center North.

What's the first thing Kerman does? She plays the drums. And yes, that was autonomous.

Kerman, I think you'll tend to attract more people if you play in an actual BAND.

"Come get your hot dogs, everyone! They're Simkind's secret to meeting new friends. And they also may increase the chances of finding that special someone..."

I didn't take any more pictures. I was there for about an hour and no teens showed up. Though I guess that could have been an interesting series of pics, too. Ah, well.

I try the old standby - Miss Gypsy Matchmaker. But this time, I pay less money so we get someone new.

Date No. 4: Amar Hamilton

Our tourist fetish continues for another generation.

"Have you ever heard of pollution? We discussed this in school. Apparently, it's a thing that happens in big cities. Why can't we Sims ever live in big cities?"

They have two bolts of chemistry, by the way. Not bad for a low-paying match!

I think ordering only desserts might become yet another Osborne tradition.

"Have you ever seen a government building before? I haven't ever seen one before. I sometimes wonder if they're real, like that whole pollution thing."

Woah! Well played, Kerman. Wearing him down with some political talk of your own.

"I'm not gonna kiss you! You don't think of pollution as the serious issue that I do!"
