Last week I was going through some of our old videos, and I found our old Mr Bean tapes. It was great watching him again, surely one of the best comedic characters ever invented. But, this is the thing....
After Mr Bean (this was in 1993) which I think was shown at 8 on Friday nights on the ABC, there was a Friday night movie, presented by an old guy called John Hinde. Anyway, I decided to search for this guy since I'd heard nothing since, and was wondering if indeed he was still alive, since it seemed that 13 years ago he was pretty old. But I found a few things about him, but it seemed like he was still alive. Then yesterday, less than a week after I searched, I saw on a news webpage that former ABC correspondent and film critic John Hinde had just died!
That made me feel quite bad! What would you think??!
My life recently has revolved mainly around watching, and reading about, and following,..., of the world cup. Unfortunately Australia got robbed and lost to Italy, who have made it through to the final. Imagine what could have been? (Or is that just complete pure optimism?)
Seriously, I think we would've beaten Ukraine and then.. well Semi finals at least.
