EPISODE 5:
Loved Dean as a vamp; wish he could've stayed that way, kinda. Not really, but he was just so badass; it was a nice change to see him that way in comparison to how he's been for the past 2.5 seasons. GODFUCKINGDAMMIT.

DEAN AND CAS FOREVERANDEVERANDEVER! OMFG <33333! HOW ARE THEY SO CUTE AND ANGSTY AND DYSFUNCTIONAL TOGETHER? It was the most awesome thing ever when CAS REFILLED DEAN'S WHISKY. GESTURE OF DEFEAT FOR THE MOTHERFUCKING WIN!!!! I JUST WANT TO PLAY THAT SCENE OVER AND OVER AGAIN! OMG, there's just SO MUCH going on under the surface there. Is anyone writing it?!
I WAS SO FUCKING PISSED THAT DEAN DIDN'T NOTICE THAT SAM WAS LYING TO HIM. I mean, everyone else was offering up these random confessions and-- what, nothing from Sam, and that doesn't make you suspicious, Dean? I mean, at this point you're just deluding yourself. I could let a lot go, but that was just really obvious. What's worse is I know you're doing it again, even as Sam is telling you "the truth", you're still being manipulated by him. He just told you he isn't scared of anything, he doesn't feel anything -- do you think he's scared of you holding a knife on him? Do you think he's scared you won't believe him? Do you ACTUALLY think he feels enough to care about "needing help"? STOP BEING A STUPID BITCH, DEAN, WTF!
I don't actually have any hope that you're going to wise up about this; clearly your blind spot is Sam, as we've always known. However, I will attempt to console myself with the knowledge that AT THE VERY LEAST, YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH LISA AND BEN IS FUCKING OVER FOR GOOD NOW. JESUSFUCKINGCHRIST, IT TOOK LONG ENOUGH.

Of course, that Samuel's Big Secret is somehow related to Sam's lack of soul is not surprising. Enjoyed Cas's brief appearance in this episode. I do wish there was more of him again. I almost like him better this way -- his lack of human emotion, paralleling Sam's. Yeah, to clarify-- it isn't Sam's lack of feeling that I dislike -- in fact it's just the opposite, I tend to love socio/psychopathic characters the most -- it's that it's SAM! I FUCKING HATE SAM. I AM FUCKING PISSED THAT THE CHARACTER I HATE GETS TO BE THIS COOL! Crowley, as usual, is funny as hell (no pun intended), though I find myself less interested in his character than I was when he first showed up.
EPISODE 8:
Eh, another episodic episode. I find the parallels they insist on drawing between the "monsters" and Dean -- i.e., comparing the shapeshifter's love for his "family" and Dean's "love" for Lisa and Ben -- unsubtle and tiring. I'm hoping they're just overdoing it now so that they can drop this particular subplot like a bad habit by the season's halfway point. Any longer and I may end up puking.
