1) I had originally intended to lend towards the idea that Owen actually burned down his parents' home, but I left it out because I wanted the reader to decide whether he did or not (that was why I had the scene of him playing with the lighter).

2) I actually had to fight with myself over whether Eames and Arthur would hook up before the end of the fic; I know how everyone wanted them together since it is technically ArthurxEames, but I decided to wait because I felt like what was happening between them -- the awkwardness, the vulnerability, etc-- I felt like that was so much more important than them making kissy faces at one another over the breakfast table.

3) I've got a little one-shot planned to take place in this universe where the three of them are off on a job during the summer that goes awry, and it's up to Owen to follow his brother's influence and be a bamf. I wanted to write dreamshare from a newbie's perspective, wanted to show how Owen thinks and feels about Arthur and Eames since QIMT was from Eames's POV.

And for the record, this is one of my favorite fics I've written. :P

2) I think that was an appropriate to handle their relationship in this situation!
