Post Christmacalypse
Ach, phone was off for days, otherwise I would have updated. Don't want to talk about family stuff.

Other than that I didn't get anything for Christmas though, except for the book my sister bought me -gives her a big hug too-. She got me Against the Day by Thomas Pynchon which everyone is probably sick to death of hearing me rant about how much I wanted it XDD It rocks so far though, in just 50 pages it went from making fun of crappy adventure writing from the late 1800's (in which a dog is reading a book on an airship talking in a "accent somewhat less gutteral than his shipmates", to featuring Archduke Franz Ferdinand in a negro bar spouting bad "yo mama" jokes XD XD XD Very looking forward to where this one goes from here.
I did go out and get something with my christmas money on Boxing Day though :P FINAL FANTASY FUCKING XII BABY XD yeah everyone's already got it .__. But its good so far :O well... in a way. It feels like a combination of all of Square's peviously released games rather than a Final Fantasy game specifically. Fran has a weird accent, Balthier makes me go WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, and Vaan is surprisingly not annoying to me (that isn't to say that I'm fond of him, but he just hasnt done anything to make me think either way of him). I've only met "AMALIA" once so far though, and she is COMPLETELY different from how I thought she would be >___> Can you say "stuck up"? She's oddly reminding me of Nel Zelpher ATM. anyway the battle system is incredibly boring. I don't enjoy just sitting watching the characters just stand there and then perform some small boring attack. what happened to the grandeur? what happened to the excitement? fuck its just like the combined SO3's and FFXI's battle system or some shit (HATED SO3's battle system). Why couldn't they have just stuck with something like FFX's or FFX-2's??? Argh. Borrrrring. The menu looks and works exactly like Kingdom Hearts 2's also, its kinda funny >_> alot of the in-game scenes feel like they were directed by the same guy too, they have that same... hyperness / lack of sophistication. The writing is better than Kingdom Hearts obviously, but the story is not as enticing as FFX's so far to me. There looks like some incredibly cool things coming up from what the opening montage shows, but so far... eh, its okay. Balthier and Fran livened things up a bit at least. The story so far feels like another mish mash of things recycled from Xenogears (their last mish mash being SO3). And I'm not sure but it feels like Xenosaga Epsode 3 has better graphics than this game. To some degrees. Others its obvious FFXII has better graphics, but it feels like they're tied or something.
