Well, here I am. Listening to old mix cd's in the garage and thinking about life- past, present, and future. I have been working on a few things lately, all of them involving 3D in some way or another. I am attempting to convince the State Library that they should pay me money to convert all of their archived stereo cards into a format that can be seen online as full resolution 3D pictures by use of either anaglyph (red\blue) glasses, or shutter glasses via 3D T.V. The idea being that there is no way of viewing the original photographs without contacting the library, making an appointment, and viewing them with an old wood viewer one at a time. By converting them and puting them online they will be accessible all over the world by anybody, which would make sense for a library to offer. And to my knowledge it would be the first time that this would have ever been done by any institution anywhere, which makes the library look good, and also makes me look good as well. The only problem is that the library does not have the money to do this which is why I am proposing a grant to a graphics card company, Nvidia, which is a california based company that is leading the way in advancing stereographic technology. It is my belief that this company would benefit greatly from the exposure as a result to sponsoring the project.
Another project which will hopefully work out is a contact with a travel publication, Afar Magazine, which has an interest in possibly publishing a 3D issue with the intention of getting interest to possibly have a 3D photo hosting site for the online version of the magazine, which would be amazing since they would be the first publication to offer that, again making them look good as well as me, of course : )
And then, the last project is a small short video i am attempting to do, which is why I am sitting in the garage at one in the morning, which I will hopefully have done to be able to submit to the 3D film festival next year. It is going to be a stop-motion animation with random macro shots of machinery and creepy high-key lighting and such.
Anyhow, that is all for now. I need to work.
I love you Shelby : )
