Birthday day...and sicky day day.
So yesterday was my birthday, unfortunately Becca could not be here. She is out of state for a death in the family. Incidentally, her uncle, who passed away, his sister passed away 2 years prior. On my birthday as well, so its pretty well expected now. Such bad timing, its almost as if my birthday is actually a "Death Day". But I try not to think about it. Becca sent me some red tulips which are my favorite and a card on my birthday via FTD. Even though my Becca wasn't able to come, I realize that she will be back next week and We'll celebrate properly then.
My dad came up yesterday though and we had lunch together and we had a pretty meaningful talk with one another. Talked about his and moms upcoming retirement, my future and his as well as what he has accomplished in his career. Its absolutely amazing, my dad has 9 patents to his and 5 of which he acquired in his 5 years of his career. Isn't that crazy? He's getting a life-time acheivement award in phoenix next week, his 60th award in the Mining and engineering field. He loves getting them but as he said, he has nowhere to put them anymore. I suggested framing or getting an area in the living for himself and the awards, he was quickly to say that "Mom wouldn't like it" lol.
I'm sick ... again. This is why I hate call centers, they are breeding grounds for this shit. This time I have no idea what I got, but its bad. It started with my throat hurting one night at work and then turning into a cough. Then the coughing got worse and as of Tuesday, it was really bad, coughing fits turning into light-headedness. Anyway, so here I am at home with my lonesome drugged up for the most part. My dad suggested Mucinex, and it works, that and the 'tussin. Anyway, hopefully by the end of today I'll start feeling better. I have my "mandatory OT " tomorrow, yay.
School is going pretty good, found out that my classes are all 1 month long. Yeah that's going to be crazy, especially since I have poor math skills, so I'll be taking advantage of the tutors that Phoenix offers, for that month. I want to succeed so I have a strong drive right now. Anyway, I am going to go log off, I got some bacon in the fridge with my name on it, and quite possibly a garlic Omelette du Fromage. YUMMY. I would rather use Onions, but I don't want to leave my place....at all. I might later to go back and pick up something from Becca's.
