Long overdue update.
Not that I really know who actually bothers to read my posts, so I guess this is less of an update then just a record, you know, for posterity.
- Went to Hamburg a few weeks back, and I have to say how much I love Hamburg. It's definitely the coolest city that I have been to so far, way better then Berlin in my opinion and as if that didn't make it enough of a destination, I can get there for free with my student ID. I was there to visit my friend Leah from the DSSA '03 and we basically just went around drinking all weekend. It was fun to see her again. The only negative part of the whole trip was that I lost my digital camera, but it was a POS anyway so I'm not shedding any tears. Besides, it's more fun when you don't have to constantly be worrying about whether or not your fun is being well documented.
- I spent Halloween weekend in Bremen, the home of Beck's beer. And what did I do in Bremen you may inquire, well, I toured the Becks Brewery and that was pretty cool. It costs 3 euros and at the end of the tour you get 3 beers, so all in all it is pretty worth it. The other story from Bremen is slightly bittersweet. Here's how it went down, I was in this brewpub with about 8 others and I noticed that this pub sold a 10-liter mini keg of beer for only 16.50. After some cajoling I was able to convince everyone that we needed to get this keg and bring it back to the hotel. We did. We drank it. We didn't get drunk. Conclusions: either this was the lowest alcoholic beer that I've ever had, or we bought non-alcoholic beer, and I just don't want to talk about this anymore because it hurts too much. I'll post some pictures of me and my keg, before harsh reality set in.
- Last weekend was pretty fun, all 4 days of it. You see, since I only have class until wednesday I am able to extend the concept of the weekend far past your meer mortal conceptions. I was out making merry until 4am at the earliest weds, thurs, fri, and sat. Of all of these nights, the one that is most notable was saturday night. Because, on saturday night the local art college was throwing a party and that meant there was actually good music in BS on saturday night. They played Drum & Bass, Breakbeats, Noise, and Punk. I was pretty suped.
- This weekend my friend James is visiting me and what a weekend he chose. I say this because there is going to be a huge party on saturday night here in my dorm complex (Schunter). The party is called Schuntember and from everything I've heard the Schunter parties are the craziest by far of all of the dorm parties. Also, earlier that day there is going to be a huge soccer match in Wolfsburg.
- Next next weekend I am going to Amsterdam. Crazy.
- Next next next weekend I'm visiting Nick in Prague. Also crazy.

PS: A political rant from me is way overdue, but have no fear, I am constructing insightful, earth-shattering arguments as you read this last line. Prepare your world for an intense rocking.
