Not that I post often, or even regularly
but I'll be away from LJ for a couple of weeks, starting on the 26th, since I'm going back east to help out at home while my father recuperates from coronary artery bypass surgery.
He's doing really well: the surgery went off without a hitch, and his health is generally excellent--like a man 10 years younger than his actual age, his doctors say. But someone will have to prepare meals (since my father is the cook in their household) and also stop my mom from running herself ragged and forgetting her meds. Which she will do at very little provocation.
Ugh, I am so not looking forward to air travel. And I already miss my cat. William knows something's up--the carrier is sitting out in the front room, waiting to take him to board at the vet's, and he's pacing up and down and yowling, lashing his tail and giving me his devil-kitty look. Tomorrow morning he will doubtless hide under the exact center of the bed, where I can't get at him.
