Qantas, the major Australian airline, is currently in huge financial trouble. They are about to axe 1000 jobs, and there are rumours the frequent flyer program is also going to disappear. Being the selfless, sympathetic person that I am my first thought was Noooo.
I currently have enough frequent flyer points to get to Russia and back (from Australia), without having to pay any money. I have been saving my points for years, and if they are scrapped before I get to use them I will be pissed.
So naturally, considering I am broke and currently owe $1100 on my credit card, I am sitting here looking at Russian holidays. As it is obviously the only sensible thing to do.
