Finally Bored!

I found a franchise of my favorite internet cafe from Madrid, Easy Everything, in Munich tonite!!

This day has been straight out of hell with a drenching rain and evil, rude, stick-up-their ass tourists, tourist aids, train station workers, and hotel attendents! I think the constant rain in Southern Germany has been getting to everyone, I have never had this many consecutive people be so outright rude to me in my life! I decided it was safer to retreat to the safe haven of this cafe for most of the day.

I am comletely burnt out right now, getting an average of 4 hours of sleep every other night was bound to catch up with me. Add to that the fact that the majority of the sleep I've been getting is on trains...and not always on bunks in trains. On a portion of a 32 hour trip from Madrid to Germany I spent most of the trip trying to sleep ON my backpack...didn't even have an actual seat.

By The Way-- (comes out in 6 days!!) I have been reading everyone´s journals religiously while travelling, thanks for being my constant companions! ,)

(Continued at later date)
But I really shouldn't complain. The trip thus far has without a doubt been THE best experience of my life. NO question. I have complete freedome to decide what country I feel like travelling to on any given day. Like the other day, I woke up and just decided hey... I feel like going to Berlin today. So, I went to the station and bought a ticket for the next train. And there's so many surprises. Like I hadn't originally planned on spending a terrbily large amount of time in Paris...mainly because of stories of rude Parisians. But on a layover at the Paris station, I had a little time to get a glimpse of the city. I had a sense of exciting things awaiting...there was just this feeling in the air...almost can't descride it...but I knew I had to go back. And go back I did. Spent more time in Paris than any other European city I visited. The great thing about Paris is you don't even have to have a plan...you litterally stumble upon great monuments(Hey look MArcelo! It's the arc de Triomphe! And over there, the Eiffel Tower!). There was the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsey with it's fantastic impressionist works(Renoir baby!). Les Invalides, ascending the Eiffel Tower and the spectacular views of the city. French cuisine and nearly perfect weather each time I visited. All the shopping...and especially on Champs Elysee...where I purchased my copy of By The way at the Virgin Megastore. And sharing many of my Parisian experiences with my travel buddy Marcelo was also great. Marcelo and I met at the station in Brussels and quickly bonded over our similar musical interests. I have him to thank for turning me on to the Hives, Oasis and to some extent the Beatles. Over roughly a 2 week period we visited Switzerland, my second of 3 trips to Paris, and later on after we had gone our separate ways stumbled upon each other in Florence. Small world:)
