I am so in love with Neal's wine snobbery and distaste of beer. There is nothing better than a gorgeous man, with bared lithe arms, swirling a glass of wine suspiciously.
Let's take a trip to Paso Robles, Neal, and do some wine tasting. And then have some lazy, wine-relaxed rollin' around.
SATCHMO AS A PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!
Those things being said, and as slashy as it was, I find the "two characters reminiscing" back and forth to be a rather awkward method of storytelling and it didn't work for me here.
Also, the flashback color was too saturated. You never want orange skin tones :/
Finally... wow. I am really, really unsympathetic toward Neal and Kate's relationship now. Was it the writers' real intention to have Neal be that manipulative? I know that sounds silly given that he was a criminal, but I was under the impression that Kate had been in on the cons from the beginning, that he never lied to her. That she was never purposely HIDING FROM HIM before he was caught by Peter. Because constantly looking for someone who doesnt want to be found... That triggers some things in me that really makes me down on Neal.
