More Highlander Thoughts

1. Duncan was lot more light-hearted and likeable before Tessa died.  I like him better when he cracks jokes than when he broods.

2. Tessa is a lot cooler than I remember. My main impression of her as a teenager was that she was blonde and French and occasionally difficult to understand because she emphasized the wrong word in a sentence (which I found intriguing - that's probably why I remember her voice and accent much better than her face).  I didn't really pay much attention to her as a charater, because I figured she was just supposed to be the stock girlfriend.  Now I see that she's a lot stronger.  I like the fact that she back-talks MacLeod when he gets angsty and broody.  If only she'd stuck around to back-talk him throughout the entire series.

3. Richie was a lot cooler in the first season before he became Immortal.  He was a fast-talking cutie, in fact.  He reminds me of Vince Noir, somewhere in between his innocent Zooniverse days and his more self-absorbed adolescent days in the shop.  Doesn't quite have Noel Fielding's charm, but hey, we can't all be raised in the jungle with hair that is virtually a hat, eh?  Eh?  Eh.

4. Darius.  Oh, Darius.  I remembered that you had pretty eyes and an accent I couldn't identify (genuine German, as opposed to the fake!German that everyone used in Hogan's Heroes), but damn.  I see why your few episodes left such a long-lasting legacy.  I might suck it up and deal with the Catholic Church just to be cloistered away with you for a few years.  I'm not sure if that's because I want you to teach me about pacifism and chess and moss tea, or because I want to jump your blue-eyed bones.  Not that your bones are capable of being blue-eyed, since bones don't have eyes, but that's how twitterpated you get me - I get all mixed up about bones and organs and whatnots.

5. Amanda's alleged charm still eludes me.  Pretty face, great body, but I don't see why she got her own spin-off instead of Methos and Joe.  They're much more entertaining.
