it's the most wonderful time of the year!
film fest picks! i just bought tickets to these films:
a time in quchi fri sept 27, 7pm at vancity.
finding vivian maier sat sept 28, 1:20pm at international village. (i haven't even read anything about this film or watched the trailer, i just know i want to watch this one.)
closed curtain mon sept 30, 9:20pm at international village.
on the edge of the world fri oct 4, 7pm at vancity.
the great flood fri oct 11, 7pm at vancity.
also, thankful that VIFF has found some new venues this year! in addition to vancity and pacific cinematheque, international village is returning. not sure if the rio has participated in VIFF before, but great to have a familiar venue to add to the roster. also, venues i've never seen films at before: the vancouver centre for performing arts, the vancouver playhouse, and sfu woodwards! unfortunately, none of my films play there... tempted to buy more tickets just to check out the new venues!
