New Beginnings
This past weekend was the move.
All of our furniture and most of our belongings are now at the new place, Kristi's stuff is mostly moved in as well. Spoon will be taking the week to move in fully, it may take the weekend.
First off, I have amazing friends and Karen's family came through as well. Rip & Beth, Steve (ATN/ Money) & his brother, Shin & Maria, Ann & Alan, teh Spoon all came and helped us move. it took all day saturday to get all of the furniture in the house. I cannot thank enough everyone who came and helped, my back is still giving me intense pain when I lift anything too heavy, and so you were all a godsend. I owe Rip & beth dinner, I will be happy to make it at home but if you would prefer going out, it would give Karen and I a nice reason to get out of the house.
I have nearly perfected my Deep dish pizza recipe, it is almost Zoey's quality. Anyone who wants to come over and pay for the ingredients, I will be happy to prove it to them.
Sunday was odds, ends and cleaning day. We got almost everything out of the apartment, just got a couple of things left. When we finally got everything into the new house Spoon and I set up the TV in the living room, got the internet rolling and got the furniture set up kinda. Karen's folks headed back to Sioux Falls and the girls headed to get window treatments as that is a BIG thing we were lacking. The girls got back from getting window coverings, and we all sat down to watch Clue, just the four roommates.
We have many many boxes of books and clothes and other such things that need to get put away. We have way more space than any of us have ever had to ourselves before. This could be one of the greatest decisions we have ever made and we jumped into it half blind. This is already starting to feel like home. I hope the girls and Spoon feel the same way.
Back to work, we're going to have a house warming party, but I don't know when, we have to get all unburied first.
