i disdain Trump as a human being and I think he was and will be a terrible president.
but i also can understand why he won and reasoning of many people who voted for him. i have enough mental capacity to do that. i disagree with them but i can definitely see their point.
and no, racism fascism and mysoginy are too simplistic an argument. although they were likely present for a lot of voters too. but it is larger than that.

running around yelling "racists, garbage, fascists" may feel good. but it does not win elections.
so yeah. on a human level i can understand the tantrums on Facebook about "if you voted for Trump you are dead to me" "please unfriend me" "you literally want me and my gay husband dead" etc.
it feels nice to ride that high horse and feel superior and righteous in your anger.
