a headhunter emailed about some position in a consulting firm. i told him "thank you for reaching out, but I am not interested at this time. I tried private sector and it is not for me. "
(i have been working for various government organizations since 2012, after I left a consulting firm)
his reply made me laugh
"Thanks Yevgeniy - really appreciate the reply. I can see the company you joined, and I think that's enough to put anyone off. There are other 'nicer' places :)"
i guess he saw the name of my last "private sector" employer from my Linkedin profile
not the first time when people respond with "ouch" when I mention the name of that consulting firm i worked for.
