Bragging Time - The Evil Machine Lives

May 26, 2006 15:14

I hadda get ready for two upcoming trade shows, back to back next week, by pulling stuff from various pallets through our enormous warehouse... the Friday before Memorial day weekend. It was pretty much me, the security guard who can't leave his post, and a receptionist who's bound to a wheelchair. Since I'm not allowed anywhere near the forklift (me + forklift = chaos), I had to move literal tons of filled pallets the old fashioned way with a gimpy pallet hand-truck.

The more I moved, dragged, kicked, lifted and swore the more energy I had. After moving pretty much EVERY pallet on the warehouse floor, save a few along the back walls, I was actually more energetic than when I started. I was never winded. I barely broke a sweat. Nothing feels sore (except maybe my boss' car, which wasn't designed to tow so much cargo). It seems like even though I don't get to work out nearly as much as I used to, I'm still a machine. I was created to kick ass, and play with animals.

Footlong Veggie on Wheat, Please!
Mad props to LivingDeadCrizl for getting that Green Goodness drink (wheat grass, blue/green algae, and fruit juices) and almond milk. That stuff is Liquid Schwartz. Riding the bike she got me last year for my birthday, and using the elliptical machine she got, have also helped a ton. Props to Subway, too. After the footlong Subway veggie sub, with extra tomatoes, I'm still buzzing with energy (a good thing, since I still have a lot of stuff do today).

Hopefully I'll keep this energy, and won't fall asleep through UFC 60, tomorrow night. Ironically, MMA actually makes me feel warm and cozy, so if I'm not careful I start nodding off to sweet dreams of armbarring Jerome LeBanner in the first round.
