First post of the year
Happy New Year to everyone!
I had an odd dream last night...it went like this;
I was in a Middle Eastern country, watching what I guess was a traffic cop, directing traffic at a crossroads.
The road was a dust one, no tarmac...and the cop was in military uniform.
All the vehicles that turned up, were small military trucks, carrying about 10 troops, and 2 soldiers in the front, one driver, and one other.
Oddly, the `other` soldiers, in all the vehicles, all looked identical, but for little changes in headwear - one would hae an eyepatch, one would be wearing a cloth round his head, one with a hat, etc..but all wore aviator shades - even the one with an eye patch.
The truck would pull up at the crossroads, and another would pull up opposite, every time, and the traffic cop would turn to one of the drivers, and the passenger in the truck would produce a weapon, and point it at the traffic cop, shaking it 3 times. At the same time, the traffic cop would produce a weapon too, and shake it at the truck, 3 times. Whoever had the most impressive weapon won.
Yes that`s right, to get right of way, they were playing 'Paper, Scissors, Stone' with hand weapons.
If the traffic cop had a better weapon, then the driver would wait while the cop went through the routine with the other driver.
If the driver had a better weapon, then the traffic cop saluted them with the weapon then let the drive through.
It was a bizarre dream.
Also, I have my New Years Resolutions worked out. There are 4 of them.
1: To be a stone heavier by this time next year.
2: To have less girlfriends than I have now (currently at 0 )
3: To be a bastard to everyone I meet
4: To be in a crappier job by the end of the year
Basically, as I fail, spectacularly, every year to keep to my New Years resolutions, this way, it`ll be doing me good, by failing!
Sods law says i`ll succeeed tho. bah.
