Evening dress ca. 1907

1910-1912. Wedding dress combining a variety of ivory-coloured silk fabrics. The body is embroidered with pearls and glass beads forming ornate modernista-style floral motifs. The skirt is straight and has an opening at the side. Behind, the decoration is more elaborate, with blonde lace flounces falling from the back and gathering the train at the base of the skirt. The train is decorated with the same embroidered pattern as the body. This is the most spectacular part of the dress, because it is the part that is most visible during the wedding ceremony.

The rest of the body is covered with an embroidered mesh and forms two bands crossing over at the bust and at the back. The sleeves are decorated with thin lines. The skirt has a high waist fastened to the body with clasps, hidden by the chenille embroidery, giving the sensation that the dress is one-piece.
