Catalonians are different than you and I

Have just been reading up on El Bulli, the insanely exclusive, hautest- of haute-cuisine restaurant in a tiny village up the coast from Barcelona. Restaurant Magazine's "Greatest Restaurant on Earth" 2006-2009 running; cradle of molecular gastronomy; chef Ferran Adria's dishes like "foamed essence of tomato" alternately praised as revolutionary and derided as WTF. It is every pretentious foodie's dream to get into El Bulli.

So naturally, TV Catalonia has an ongoing slapstick comedy about Chef Adria's wacky adventures in the world of haute cuisine. In this episode of "El Millor Cuinar del Mon", a tense encounter with his arch-nemesis (that snooty Chef Santimaria from Can Farbes), leads to reminiscing about the old burger-flipping days, and the very first spherification. And oceans of sub-Three-Stooges goofiness, of course, because that is the way we roll in Catalonia.

Enjoy!
