Been a while.
I should start by saying that after much deliberation, I've decided to make my blog Friends Only. The lack of filters was an experiment in openness, inspired by a writer whose own blog is admirably honest. In the end, I think I'm just too private. And so, I opted to put a mass lock down on my entries.
My poor blog has been much neglected of late. It's happened before, but in this case, I hit a rough patch over the holidays of 2011 and I spent pretty much all of January sorting through that mess. I'm contemplating picking up my paper journal writing habit again. My journals and diaries have been lifelong companions, taking up a shelf of my bookcase with their number, but I've wandered away from them in favor of LiveJournal. I think it may be time to return in some part.
I'm sure I'll be back at some point. I don't stay quiet for long.
