Regarding water births, I havent researched the privet sector, because I probably could not afford it and also I feel one can not be complacent and its better to deliver in a hospital just in case. However, the Israeli hospitals do not allow for water births, what they have in some places is a hot tub, and you are allowed to be in it till you are fully dilated, when you are already at that stage when you need to push, then you need to move to the regular bed. My experiences were fairly good ones, even though I was disappointed by my first delivery. Some hospitals do have a natural delivery room where you have various things to help with labor, such as the hot tub, that big ball and a rope to hold whilst squatting.

FYI, in Israel most children are deliverd by an RN who is a Midwife, thier are dr's on the floor which are called only if the Midwife is concerend. B/C the system is national, thier isn't so much the buisness you get in the USA. I read in the VBAC about the use of inductions simply to speed things up because the Dr. wants to go home. Horrid.
