Sometimes he watches the people they protect going about their normal lives without a clue as to the reality of the world in which they all live. He knows they'd think them suffering from insanity if they ever dared to speak to them about the monsters that lurk all around. He's seen humans walk right pass severed heads and look straight into a Demon's red eyes, never seeing the fires flickering therein. He knows the truth. He, Dean, and the others like them are the only sane humans left, and it's that sanity that will save all their world again.
