(no subject)
Hi everyone,
It has been a long time, so I think it is time for a wee update. I most rececntly returned from a trip to CA with my mom to deal with the remainder of my Grandma's estate. We put all the accumulated furniture into a UHaul and proceeded to drive it the 1300 miles from Southern CA home. I bonded with my mom in many ways and it was really tres Elizabethtown. We had all kind of creepy experieinces which have lead my mum to believe the ghosts of ancestors past weree all hanging out on the couch in the back of the truck leading us around, but we did end up finding my Grandmother's childhood home. We somehow ended up on 99N not I5 and what do you know but it went through Lodi, CA where she lived. Mom has had some kind of catharsis now and is in better shape than I have seen her in years. Joyous even. It's cute.
My next wacky adventure will be to fill in for a week as Youth Staff on the ms Westerdam based out of Fort Lauderdale. We will be cruising the Western Caribbean including Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas, HAL's private island: Half Moon Cay, and Cozumel. It seems a great way to spend what will invariably be a cold week back home.
I get back on Dec. 2 and I expect a wacky reunion with Jules, most likely including a road trip down to OR in time to see the Directing Scenes and Jazz Night. Oh how my babies have grown up! My little actor-wactors are directing now! Once those are over, Jules and I will kick around for a few days before we head down to PUERTO VALLARTA for a week. We get home and it's a week of pre christmas sillyness and then I assume I will ship out. Somewhere. Not sure where yet.
I may achieve Alaska Airlines MVP status though for all this flying. What an incredible year....
