It's been a somewhat long week, but a good one. School has been a bit topsy-turvy, a muddled mess of frustration and joy, but in the end the positives outweighed the negatives, and I am starting the weekend with renewed hope for the future. Satisfaction at school does not come easily, and even when those rare moments of contendedness occur I am afraid to embrace them. With each passing year the bar of acceptability is raised just a little higher, and as a result, it seems I am very rarely satisfied.
What does the weekend hold? So far it includes S&E, time with friends, and church. Oh, and a rather sizable pile of grading, which is not exactly my favorite pastime. However, it must be done!
Tonight, however, may be an evening for chilling out, rather than productivity. I am tired. I have not slept or eaten very much this week. So I think an evening on the futon, spent with a book, a movie, or maybe a little Wii, would not be entirely out of place.
