Things I Love

Rediscovered this coffee which I bought at Arthur Avenue, AKA the Bronx's Little Italy.

I wonder if I can find more somewhere. They had so much cool stuff at Arthur Ave. I also found a violet pannetone there when I went with my family during Xmas last year, which I didn't get and sort of wish I had.

My other recent coffee obsession is putting orange blossom syrup in it. It's amazing - it tastes like Florida!

Unrelatedly, I have gotten to the point where I can name several silent film directors who I previously didn't know existed (Mack Sennett, Thomas, Erich Von Stroheim) and recognize which dress Mary Pickford wore to her wedding.

I'm on my second Elinor Glyn novel in as many months. ('The Price of Things', now 'The Reason Why'). The version of The Price of Things that I have has the original illustrations. I just love the illustrations in old novels! I wish books had them today.
