I decided to stop by at the gym on my way home tonight. My favourite co-worker was there and it was great to see him, as well as one of my bosses.
I found out they actually opened a week earlier than usual so one of the two girls that usually work the afternoon shift is 'covering' for me. Now, since there are two of them and not enough people, there's no need for me right now. My boss said he'll call me as soon as the place gets more crowded.
So I still have one week (or more) of 'forced' vacation. Not sure that is a positive or negative thing.
