We saw Mordane in the courtyard a few nights ago. It's odd - I hadn't realised just how empty the place seems without him there until then. He hadn't been aware that there were other surviving Couriers. I suppose his newfound duties to the Argent Crusade keep him busy most of the time so it oughtn't be terribly surprising.
He has some distressing ideas.
I've stood before the Frozen Throne. I've felt the cold of unspeakable evil clench my heart. And still we fight on. Was this part of Centus' vision? That in the end we would climb that cursed glacier, drive our flags into the ice, and make a final stand in the Dark Lady's name?
It certainly seemed to be Mordane's. He led us into Northrend on the trail of Kel'thuzad. The next logical step was Icecrown.
But when all is said and done - when Arthas is but a fading memory, a nightmare from which the world is still struggling to awake - what then? Dane is right: She won't be content to simply fade away, nor will the majority of the Forsaken. I hesitate to admit it but I find myself uncomfortably caught between my loyalty to Her and misgivings about where we'll go from here.
I look to the future and remember Marrowgar's words: I see only darkness.
ic,
victory for sylvanas!,
icecrown,
crazy death knights,
war is hell,
couriers of compassion
