Moving Woes!
So as of the first weekend of August I will be moving up to the big city. I'm freaking thrilled by this but of course no good thing comes with out problems. I don't have much stuff, a full size bed, a small desk and book shelf, a tv, my computer and a few boxes but I don't know anyone who has a van or pickup that I could borrow. I'm looking at renting a uhaul for the move but for their cheapest deal it's a set rate of $20.95 plus $0.79/mile.
Upon doing the math this is still going to add up to somewhere around $70 give or take a bit. It's still cheaper than their set rate of $101 for their smallest panel truck but something I can't really afford to spend. I have it reserved so far as a just in case but am looking for another alternative. So I'm looking for help. I'm not asking for anyone to lift heavy things, because honestly I don't have anything besides my bed that would be trouble (well that and box upon box of books which I'm bringing up this weekend). I just need the use of a vehicle for a few hours. I'll of course replace gas used. Anyone know of any other options I can consider?
