isamijae tagged me to do a random fact meme, and hell, why not. ^_^ Sorry to post something that's not a fic on here. I swear Grace Fallen will soon be updated... it was going to get done today, but I had to write my resume. ^_^ Other Side is proving to be damn difficult in writing. It's pottering along REALLY slowly. >_8 facts about meeeee ( Read more... )

Hogswash! You don't need to know Japanese at all to teach English there. You don't even need a teaching degree or anything. Basically you just need native level English speaking ability or 12 years of english schooling. Japanese law requires you to have a degree (of any sort) to work full time there, but otherwise... it's SO easy to get in there. This is the company I worked for - Nova Group and they hire just about anyone! XD They recruit from Australia, America, Canada and Britain.

I didn't know hardly any Japanese before I went, and I still only know maybe 20 or so kanji! I suck at kanji. >_<;;;

And aw, thanks for the luck! I so think I'll need it. I don't have high hopes, but it would certainly be awesome if I COULD go. :D

^^; *goes away to write more* ^^;;;

Wow! So much about you! XD. So many wonderful experiences. That's awsome. I would love to move to a foreign country and teach English. But, I had to stick with teaching English to Americans... >_> Now I'm just a librarian. ^^ ... I have yet to play the Wii. I really must do that one of these days.

I used to have a good memory..but I swear it gets worse with each passing year. GAH! I'll hate to see me at like 50... @.@. ♥

Wow, you teach English for real? haha, teaching English in Japan was not really teaching english... more like chatting to people and teaching them slang. *snort giggle* Being a librarian would be awesome though - I adore books, and I've always sort of wanted to work in a bookshop. :D You should go do it though if you want to! There are plenty of programs like that in Japan, Korea and China... and it should be REALLY easy to get in if you've had teaching experience!

hahaha... I know, I worry that if I'm this bad now, I'm going to not remember anything by the time I get to my late 40s or earlier! >_< It's a scary thought!

I taught Reading with English mixed in to 15 year olds. It was rough. I've thought about teaching English as a second language at the community school that's behind my library. We have a lot of Spanish speaking people and Haitians, and even a few Koreans (this I'm assuming because I saw a sign in the office in spanish, creole, and Korean..I was like Hey..I can read that ..the words...not the meaning). XD. I would love to teach abroad, but I have a family and stuff here that I can't leave. *sigh* One day, maybe.

Memory is such a fickle and annoying thing. *kicks hers*...damn, I'll forget my name soon if I keep doing that LOL!

weee~ you did it!!

Good luck on your business internship! Fingers crossed!

You're half-Indonesian? But you don't know Indonesian? That's fine. I only know a bit, because there lots of Indonesians in my country (which is NOT Indonesia, btw).

Introverted, eh? Same!

owh, you've been to Japan! I'm so jealous T__T It must have been a great experience. LOL. When I first found out that you used to teach English, I was like "No WONDER her English is super good!" :D I adore your writing. =^^= Those Japanese people are lucky to have you as a teacher.

I have a Playstation 2, but my father stashed it somewhere so that I won't spend time in front of the console playing FFXII when I should be studying.

Mildly dyslexic? I would never have guessed.

It's nice to know some things about you~ Good luck with everything! *waves*

Man, there i sjust no way that I would think ur dyslexic. ... I can't speel well anyway to begin with.

But ur half Indonesian?!?! wow.... didn't see that coming...

I'm Indonesian, just recently moved to Sydney like 1.5 yrs ago, but have been in the country for *gasp* 10 years now. Where did ur mum come from originally?

It's so cool that you're applying for internship in Korea! I'm stuck doing financial planning here.... I've always wanted to work overseas.. well... I sort of have, since I work in Oz and not Indo, but still....
Let us know if u got it or not, at the very least we can give our best wishes and prayers for u. =)

Anyway, aside from those facts, I still think you're an awesome writer. =) Absolutely luv ur fics... lemme go into some kind of fan girly mode coz I do simply LUV ur fics. ^^

I've never been able to spell very well - I rely very heavily on spell check! I missed some basic spelling stuff in year 1 as well, which didn't help. -_-

Oh! You're in Aus too? That's awesome! :D Go the Jaeho DBSK fans in Sydney! ^_______^ My mum is originally from Bandung. My aunt still lives there, so we visit sometimes. I'm not a big fan though - I always get sick when I go over there (I guess I have a really weak stomach. >_<)

You're a financial planner? woo, I totally sucked at finance (and at math in general!). Had to do it last term and didn't do so well. I actually didn't get into the Korean thing unforunatly. There were a lot of applicants, and I think me not speaking any Korean was not very helpful either. XD But it's okay, nothing ventured, nothing gained, ne? I'm applying for other internships, not sure if I'll get any. Blaugh.

Thanks for the comment too - I'm glad to hear you like my stuff. ^____^ thanks for reading them all.

So. I just found your stories! I had started reading Grace Fallen a while ago it seems, but when I went to look for it again, I couldn't find it xD
I LOVE your stories.
I have to admit that the Gundam Wing comment made me laugh because they were my first step into fandom too xD That's so cool that you taught english in Japan! I really wanted to do that, but I really have no idea how to go about it... And yes, I too, am mildly dyslexic and can't remember anything -_-;Y
I feel like such a looser because I don't comment half the time and lurk more often than not...

Aw, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy what I write. It's the first time I've really contributed to a fandom, even when I was rabidly into 1x2 I never wrote much. But everyone here is so involved and writes so much that I've actually started writing myself. ^_^

Actually, the whole teaching in Japan thing is SO easy to do - there are a lot of different places that take people, and basically all you need is a degree in something (doesn't matter what) and native-level english. ^_^ It was a hell of a lot of fun, and I'd reccomend going and doing it to anyone as it's a great experience. As I said in my comment above, I went with Nova Group which is really easy to get in with... it's not the nicest/most thoughtful company, but I wasn't there to work, I was there to fangirl! lol ( ... )

I know! Every time I try to write something it comes out morbidly depressing and usually original xD
Thank you so much! I'm definitely going to look into it! The only group I really knew about was where you had to major in english and I already changed my major a few times, but knew I didn't want to major in english! lol Again, not really going for the company (even if that would be an added bonus)...
I know, I write too, so it feels rather hypocritical that I don't comment a whole lot, but I was so glad I found you when you posted the first half of the third part! It was so good! I'm actually at work, so I'm not going to rant too much, but it was so cute! And I love the way you write. You don't get lost in the details like a lot of the authors around here, but you don't make plotless jumps that make me roll my eyes either... I'm so glad I ran across your work!
