Yep, that's the basic jist of it, though I'm not sure he's so much in denial as unable to accept it. He knows what it is, and how he feels, he just also 'knows' it's wrong and he shouldn't feel this way. I dunno if there is a word for that...? (erm, besides homophobic, that is. O_o)
This is definitely a refreshing approach to JaeHo from the usual mutual romance, hidey relationship and all that jazz. What Jae is facing in this is very much like how one would react in reality, and I think you portrayed his feelings really well.
I think it's a hard thing to deal with, reality, in a Jaeho fic. I mean, the angst of homophobia and stuff is enough usually, but I mean, for them really it's almost impossible. Being Korean, and also so very much in the public eye, I don't think there's really a realistic way of dealing with their relationship. It's either completely hidden, or it's not there at all. I think that's why most people choose not to deal with it - it tends to get heavily in the way of the Jaeho. ^^;
But thank you, I'm glad you think so. It's odd looking at it again now tho - I think I actually meant the other three members to actually all be commenting on different things. Yoochun wants him to accept the love/lust he has, Junsu wants him to banish it (nobody talks about his religion either hm), and Changmin is frustrated at how much Jaejoong feels all of this and how much of a big deal he's making out of it.
Yes. It's difficult for fanfic to dabble in reality for most, if not all, fandoms. So it's really rare for me to come across JaeHo+reality, which is why I like this drabble so, so much. It needs red hearts~ ♥♥
