Clerks II spoilers...
Oh. My. God. Just saw Clerks II and it. was. AWESOME. Even if I'm fanatical about something, I don't go so far as to read posts and blogs and sites, etc about it. There may be die hard fans and people who've never even seen a Kevin Smith movie who will slam Clerks II, but I thought it was great. A little slow in the beginning, but I laughed out loud soooo much. It also appeals to my sense of happy endings and closure. I love that shit. And there was romance. And awesome music. The whole Silence of the Lambs thing? And Jay nekkid. And Jason Lee. And Ethan Suplee lookin' all thin n shit. And cutie newbie transformer boy. And Ben Affleck. And Alias boy. And inside jokes, of course. And a dance sequence? Oh my god. Nothing better. Stayed to the end, but couldn't catch all the Thanks stuff that rolled by. Need the DVD for that. Nothing visual at the end, but Jay talks a smidge. It was just like going home. Something comfortable. Seeing an old friend. The audience, 90% young guys, were actually polite. And the guys behind me managed NOT to kick my chair. Every time I see a movie, I have to wonder at the politeness of Tucson movie audiences. Previews were eh. The new Mark Wahlberg football movie, Pulse (Hell yeah), Snakes on a Plane (are you serious?), I think that was all.
