The fabulous and talented twolefts made my new icon, of Matt and Julie from Friday Night Lights. I'm afraid I've boarded the Matt/Julie ship and my obsession with this pairing and this show has eclipsed all the other new shoes I'm currently watching. Namely: Heroes, Ugly Betty, Dexter, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, and The Office. I've fallen hard and I'm afraid if this show gets cancelled soon, it might somehow lessen the enjoyment I get from my other new favorite shows that debuted this fall (see Heroes, Dexter, Ugly Betty). I really, really don't want to be bitter and resentful that other shows that are not as well written and acted as FNL get full season orders and this wonderful new show gets the axe.
The only way I would ever feel even remotely OK with this show getting cancelled is if somehow the Matt/Julie storyline comes to some kind of resolution.
I won't even mention the depths of my love for Matt Saracen/Zach Gilford. Because he, along with Dexter, are the best new characters on TV.
