So...MOST AMAZING WEEKEND OF MY LIFE. Started off by getting up at 4 o'clock in the fucking morning on Thursday so I could catch my flight to Toronto. Met up with and at the Toronto airport...and it was the official start of THE WEEKEND OF EPIC ADAM EPICNESS.
Plane ride was actually okay, even though we were all drugged out on lack of sleep. I tried to read some Kradam fic, but found the plug-in at my seat was really just the biggest cocktease ever, so had to stop. There must be something majorly meta about reading a plane crash fic while in an actulfax plane (this was unintentional, yet hilarious). We all watched Up in the Air as the in-flight movie - good times.
When we landed in Vancouver we met up with. Did a little pre-concert makeup shopping (at MAC, nach), and then took five million years to glam ourselves all to hell for the HBIC. 's makeup won the PRIZE OF AWESOME, I have to say. At this point, had joined us (she drove up from the Seattle airport).
Grabbed some dinner at the venue, and then it was time for ADAM. So, he was okay. I mean, I might check out his album. Maybe. Certainly not my usual cup of tea. LOL NO. OMG HE WAS AMAZING. THERE WAS KIND OF AN EPIC TECH FAIL DURING THE FIRST SONG - FYE - BUT HE JUST LAUGHED AND STARTED OVER. OMG HIS VOICE LIVE GIVES BIRTH TO A THOUSAND BABY UNICORNS. I CAN'T EVEN. OUR SEATS WERE, LIKE 13 ROWS BACK, BUT RIGHT IN THE CENTRE. AND THE VENUE WAS SO SMALL, THERE WASN'T A BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE. I LOVE HIM. I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM. Fever was best of the night for me. Hearing A Loaded Smile for the first time was also crazy amazing (even though I don't really like that song).
So, after that, we decided to head to the casino for the second show, because we were meeting people who were staying there for drinks. THIS IS THE POINT IN THE EVENING WHEN WE MET TOMMY. LOL HAS BALLS AND ASKED HIM TO COME OVER TO SEE . HE TOTALLY SURPRISED HER BY HUGGING HER. SHE MAY HAVE SQUEE'D JUST A BIT. ;) WE WERE ALL JUST REALLY CHILL AND CHATTED FOR ABOUT 10 MIN. TALKED ABOUT THE BAND PRACTICING VOODOO (HE SAYS THEY NEED THE BACKING TRACKS TO MAKE IT SOUND THE BEST) AND HOW THE MIX THAT NIGHT WASN'T THE BEST. Also got pics with Monte and LP earlier. No sign of Cam, but tbh, I don't know if I'd know her if I fell over her at this point.
Friday was just as epic, minus meeting the band. Seats were closer this night, and the sound was better. EPIC LAMBLIFF, WHICH WAS VERY EXCITING OMG (#teamAdam+Cock). AND HE RUBBED HIS CROTCH, WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD TIMES.
Had some drinks after the show with more benches, and then went back to our hotel to die. Saturday was spent sight-seeing and reliving the epic.
