I'm going to skip over the general stories Pet Peeves like not knowing the correct forms of words, and such. These are some major items I have found in slash writing and don't understand WHY These stories are so popular and get recommended. These are just my personal opinions, and as a slash author myself, I can say that I find it really irksome

Well, the rapist wasn't a bad guy at first though (I'd say the main character is the worst bastard in the story). He was in love with the main character when they were kids, but something horrible happened and it was (sort of) a misunderstanding caused by this really jealous love rival of his so his love turned into hate...but he still couldn't let go of his 'love' and ended up loving the main character again...lol. At least most of what little remaining readers I had could cope with the ending.
Still. I also hate it when the rapist falls in love with the rapee for no goddamn reasonable reason and worse, when the poor, defenseless, woman-in-not-so-manly-man's-body rapee has Stockholm's Syndrome and falls in love with the rapist who treats him like shit.
And I hate it when people use 'English is my second-language' or even worse, 'I'm writing for myself/for fun/for leisure...etc' as an excuse for their shitty grammar. And those people are the most likely to complain about having no reviews and no readers and blah blah blah and I'm thinking...WTF?!
But for some reason, those stories with no plot and shitty grammar and poorly written sex get a lot of reviews.
Of course, there are some rec'd stories that are grammatically correct and with acceptable characterizations but I'm a picky reader. Normally I wouldn't continue reading if I'm not immediately interested, so I won't complain about no one reading my less mainstream stories.
