ucw ramblings...
Yesterday was so much fun. Plain and simple. Jen and I left around one to head to Hartford for the UCW show, and got lost. The mapquest directions were wrong, and the roads are not marked. There are all of three streets in Hartford, and we still got lost lol! So we got directions at this convenient store that had a laundry mat inside, and got creepily stared at by some random mexican dudes. It happens. But we finally made it to the fairgrounds, like ten minutes before Shayne and Shaun got there. We went inside w/ them way early, which was cool 'cause we got to help set up somewhat, and talk and such. Well, talk to Shaun, since Shayne still makes me nervous. The atmosphere was so relaxed and laid back. Joey Knight and his brother did the show too, and it was good to see them.
The show was flippin amazing. Plain and simple. There was only one guy I didn't like so much, Lonestar, but his opponent was good and made the match worth watching. and he looked like my bro in law, which tripped me out a bit lol. Monkey vs Fate was kickass, entertaining, funny, plus good wrestling. Joey vs Dookie was STELLAR. The IC title streetfight between Sigmon and Scott Sexton was amazing, as I knew it would be. Those guys are amazing. But the best match, of course, was the main event. Shayne and Shaun Maddox vs Chris Michaels and Shawn Shultz. All four of these guys are awesome, and I was a big Michaels fan when he was in OVW back in the day.
After the show we had Denny's, and it was like Wednesday nights used to be. Most of the guys went, plus some friends of Shaun's who wound up being really cool. Shayne and I talked a bit, I got some of his amazing hugs, and picked on each other,but it was all in good fun. His bro picked on me too. It was just a good night. And Shayne's amazing. He really is. He's everything I want, even tho he's waaay out of my league. He's gorgeous, sweet, funny... Everything.
