...and that's how it is.
Christmas just keeps on getting more and more naive to me. Many who know me know that I am not a great professor of the Christian faith, but it seems to me that even those who are just didn't even want to put up with the thought of a savior right now. Why? Simple. Most of us don't feel like we're doing anything wrong right now. Why get approval from a God who will antagonize our feelings of getting it right? Why apologize? It's easy to neglect a God who wishes for repentance always.
So when you're sitting around the tree this year, and you have no desire to think about why you are there... think. Think about what you really want. Think about what you really believe. Life cannot beat it into your head enough to follow how you feel. Are you there to celebrate your god? Are you there to celebrate your family? Are you there to celebrate your love for capitalism? Don't deny yourself the truth.
