Set-up: Okay, so my wife was mentioning me in an LJ post last night. To make sure she got my faith correct, she asked me how I would define myself. I ended up sitting there blankly for awhile, since nothing seemed quite right. I think I finally decided on eclectic witch, with the option to elaborate if someone asked for more information.
Question: Which led me to wondering: What do you guys call yourselves? Do you go by Wiccan/Witch/Christian/Muslim/Buddhist/etc? Do you specify your tradition (ie: Catholic, Blue Star, etc), or do you use the generic term? Did this term seem natural to you, or did it take you awhile to decide on it?
Some Tangentially Related Follow-Ups: How does the term that you use to define yourself help/hurt how you relate to others? Is it similiar/counterintuitive to how others have used the term? If so, does that upset you?
Do you belong to any organizations with a similiar/different title? If so, how does that impact your practice?
