For the past few days I've been scouring LJ for some inspiring prompt comms that I can join, to help me hack away at a fandom pairing I've had tickling my subconscious. Unfortunately, two things have seemed to be reoccuring themes in my search:
1. The communities that are most inspiring are either dead or not accepting new claims.
2. The remaining interesting communities are filled with mind-numbing rules. Normally, I'm okay with following comm rules, but there are some that are just downright idiotic. I'm sorry, but I refuse to warn for slash content (esp. when het doesn't need a warning). How offensive can you get? Not only that, but what sort of fandom dunce wouldn't realize that when two characters names are written like, 'AB/CD,' that means that they're being paired together? And, if someone's in the fandom, they should know that AB and CD are both of the same gender. Morons.
Gargh. *Takes a deep breath and releases it.* I think I'm done ranting. For now, at least.
